In a heart warming interview conducted by cricket presenter Sanjana Ganesan of her husband, the Mumbai Indians (MI) speedster Jasprit Bumrah reminisced about his extraordinary journey with the franchise on Jio Cinema.

Reflecting on his humble beginnings, Bumrah recalled, "I came to MI as a 19-year-old. That year, I didn't even expect to play Ranji Trophy, but then John Wright saw me."

Bumrah's IPL debut in the 2013 season marked the start of a remarkable career trajectory. From claiming a three-wicket haul in his maiden match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore to becoming one of the league's top bowlers, his journey has been nothing short of phenomenal.

With 124 IPL matches under his belt, Bumrah has amassed an impressive tally of 150 wickets for MI, making him the first Indian to achieve this milestone for a single IPL franchise.

Expressing gratitude for his growth with MI, Bumrah remarked, "Over the years, I have grown here. We have had an interesting journey; we won 5 titles. It's been a great journey."

His pivotal role as one of the main pillars of the MI franchise underscores his significance in the team's success.

Bumrah's personal life also drew attention, with his marriage to Sanjana Ganesan in 2021 adding another dimension to his narrative.

Meanwhile, the MI premier pacer rocked RCB in the ongoing season at Mumbai, with a breathtaking five-wicket haul, restricting the Bengaluru to 196/8. Eventually, MI unleashed hell in the chase and went past the target line inside 16 overs.

In the current season, he has showcased his skills with 10 wickets from 5 matches, boasting an impressive economy rate of 5.95.
