Rohit Sharma has been adopting aggressive approach in the last couple of years and we saw the best of that approach in the World Cup 2023. He has continued that brand of cricket in IPL 2024 as well, but one drawback of this approach is that it comes with a high risk of failure. 

In the 24th match of IPL 2024 against RCB he was once again found guilty of throwing away his start when he departed for 38 off 24 balls.

It was a fullish delivery angling on leg stump by Will Jacks. Rohit Sharma swept and it almost hit in the gap but Reece Topley at short fine leg dived full-length to his left and took a brilliant one-handed catch.

It was quite a disappointment for a full house assembled at the Wankhede but all the credit should be given to Reece Topley for his brilliant effort and execution. 

Earlier, RCB posted 196 on the board while batting first with Dinesh Karthik, Faf du Plessis and Rajat Patidar all scoring fifties. In Reply, MI got off to a stunning start with Ishan Kishan blasting 69 off 34 balls and then SKY displayed all his might with his magical knock of 52 off 19 balls.
