The India Women's team finally secured their first win in the white-ball series against the Australia women. After losing three ODIs, India were desperate for the win, and they have managed to seal a comprehensive victory in the first WT20I and will look to carry the same momentum in the next two games as well.

Titas Sadhu, the young speedster from Bengal, stepped up again and scalped four wickets, helping her team restrict Australia to a total of just 141. Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana made sure that India won comfortably by stitching an opening partnership of 137 runs.

The Indian team learned from the mistakes they made in the previous games, whether it was the sloppy fielding or their batting collapses. They turned everything upside down in the first WT20I game and that's what Harmanpreet said during the post-match presentation.

Here's what Harmanpreet said after the win:

"I think we were up to the mark in all three departments because we have been talking about fielding because fielding is something we are really working hard on and I know sometimes results won't come as fast as you are expecting, but today everyone was pumped up, everyone was enjoying the fielding and really pleased to see that good fielding from all the fielders."

On being asked about what things the Indian team worked on to get ready for the T20I series, Harmanpreet shares that they worked hard on improving the fielding and placing the right fielders in the places that resonated with their skills and also gives credit to the fielding coach of the team.

"Yeah, I think credit goes to our fielding coach because he mentioned that Jemmy will stand on the points because we have seen they are scoring a lot of runs on the point area and he picked Jemmy who will stand there and I think those small, small changes he made during the fielding and I think everyone knows where they are fielding and according to we were doing in the last evening and I think results, we got the results, now we have to just keep doing what we did."

When Harman was asked about Phoebe Litchfield, who was among the runs today as well but got dismissed on 49, she also explained that the India team gave too many chances to her, which was the reason she went to score big runs and today they grabbed onto the first chance.
