Chennai Super Kings (CSK) spinner Maheesh Theekshana voiced his concerns amid flooding in Tamil Nadu due to Cyclone Michuang. Notably, several areas in Chennai experienced severe waterlogging on Monday, December 4, due to the heavy rainfall caused by Cyclone Michaung.

As per the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the current storm over the Bay of Bengal is expected to move towards the Andhra Pradesh coast, with the expected landfall between Nellore and Machilipatnam on Tuesday noon.

Taking to Twitch, here’s what the Sri Lankan bowling star wrote:

“Just watched some concerning footage from my second home, Chennai. Sending all my love and prayers to everyone affected. Stay strong, stay safe. We're in this together.”

The Tamil Nadu government has issued an advisory urging people to stay indoors, work from home, and avoid seeking shelter under trees in light of the current situation.

Meanwhile, Maheesh Theekshana has been retained by the Super Kings ahead of the IPL 2024 mini auction, scheduled to be held on December 19. CSK will be heading into the auction with a purse of INR 32.2 crore.
