The year 2023 was all about the One Day Internationals while 2024 will be about the T20 cricket as we head to the T20 World Cup. Faf Du Plessis has been away from the national team for a while but plays franchise cricket all over the world. He is leading three franchises in different leagues, Royal Challengers Banglore in IPL, Texas Super Kings in MLC, and Joburg Super Kings in SA20. 

Not only he is the fittest but also still in his prime form as he was among the top scorers of the IPL 2023. He knows the importance of being and the demands of T20 cricket, thus maintaining his fitness and agility. Currently, he is playing in the Abu Dhabi T10 league and looking in great touch.

With SA20 2024 commencing on the 10th of January, the first match of the second season of the league is between Joburg Super Kings and Sunrisers Eastern Cape. 

Meanwhile, in the IPL, the Protea batter leads Royal Bangalore Challengers (RCB), for whom he will be looking to make sure RCB lifts the trophy for the first time.
