Anshuman Gaekwad, the former Indian cricketer and head coach is battling cancer now-a-days and is undergoing treatment in London. Recently, BCCI also released INR 1 Crore as aid for the former cricketer and the likes of Kapil Dev, Vengsarkar and Sandeep Patil all are giving their all for their friend and teammate in raising funds for his treatment.

Gaekwad is going through blood cancer and now journalist Vijay Lokapally has shared a video on his official X handle where an emotional Kapil Dev has sent a message for his friend. Dev mentioned that there are plenty of good memories and he remembers how he played under him in domestic cricket and then went onto captain Anshuman Gaekwad as well.

He added that everyone goes through bad times but they just come and go and insisted Gaekwad to cheer up and get better soon and just be happy.

"Hi Anshu, I know you are going through a rough time, but it doesn't matter, we have all gone through rough times in life. I remember all the good days. The first time? When I played under you, you were my captain. And I remember when I was captain you got two hundred runs in Jalandhar against Pakistan, so good memories. Difficult times come and go, but I know that you are a fighter. Come on, cheer up and try to live a life, whatever God has given you and I wish you get better and better and be happy."

'Get Well Soon' - Kapil Dev

Kapil Dev also added that whatever happens, happens for a good and told Gaekwad that they have a lot to talk about along with a good coffee or some drinks as well. He told Gaekwad to get well soon and not let anyone down and they all feel proud of him.

"We all have to go one day, but the best part about human beings is fighting it out the way you fight it out on the cricket field. Whatever is going to happen, will happen. I hope we meet soon. We will all celebrate together. We had a good time. You just look after yourself. It doesn't matter whatever happened, it happened for good, and I think you are a wonderful person. We had great stories to talk about. We have a lot to talk about, but firstly you need to get well soon. We will have coffee together and if nothing, then we can have a little drink together as well. Look after yourself. Love you from the entire cricket community. We all feel proud of you to remember that. Don't let us down? Look after yourself? Love you Anshu. Take care."

So, with financial help and emotional support from all corners, all cricket fans would be hoping that Gaekwad gets well soon, and Kapil Dev does get a chance to enjoy some old memories with his friend and former teammate.
