Mohammed Shami was one of the brightest stars for India in World Cup 2023, but since that World Cup, the pacer has been out of action and underwent an ankle surgery. The news of his rehabilitation has been going rounds for a long time, but now finally it seems that the pacer is confident and fit and is ready to make his much-awaited international comeback.
Shami has posted on his official X handle where he is seen in training kit and seems like he has started bowling as well. The caption - 'Ball in hand and obsession in my heart, ready to turn the game,' clearly signifies the kind of hunger Shami has to sizzle on the international stage again, and most probably he would be making a return during the two-match Test series between India and Bangladesh.

However, Shami's participation in the white-ball formats is still in doubt as injuries have been his constant partner and with age also not on his side, it remains to be seen whether he makes to the Champions Trophy squad next year or not.
He would be a big part of India's Test team though, as they look to qualify for their third straight WTC final.
