The third Test of the series between West Indies and Australia saw pacemen Mitchell Starc and Scott Boland run riot at Sabina Park in Jamaica. Australian skipper, Pat Cummins, was highly impressed by both the pacers as Australia rolled over the home side, West Indies, for just 27.

Pat Cummins Commends Mitchell Starc For Impressive Outing

It turned out to be a one-sided affair in the recently concluded third Test between West Indies and Australia which was day-night affair, where the visitors won by a mammoth margin of 176 runs and claimed the series 3-0. Thanks to tearaway quicks, Mitchell Starc, who claimed six wickets, and Scott Boland with a hat-trick, Australia rolled over West Indies for a paltry 27 in the fourth innings as they failed to chase 204.

After the game, skipper Pat Cummins, who was mightily impressed by Starc, playing in his 100th Test, spoke positively about his long-time teammate.

Talking about Starc, who grabbed a 6-wicket haul in the second innings, Cummins mentioned that playing alongside Mitchell is something he would always cherish, as he then congratulated him for completing a massive milestone while donning the baggy green.

Further mentioning that the left-arm pacer is a lethal weapon in any format, as he has the ability to change the game in a matter of a few overs.

“He was on fire. I think a lot of the chat leading into this week is like how resilient and professional you need to be to play 100 Tests, but I think that's the Starcy I always remember playing alongside. He can tear a game open by himself in a matter of a couple of overs. Feels like he can do it in any format, any time. That was an amazing effort.”

Cummins High On Praise For Scott Boland

Cummins then talked and praised Scott Boland for his work ethic and talked about Boland as Australian pacers were right on fire as he bagged a hat-trick, which they didn't know about as they celebrated it like a normal wicket, but soon realised it was a hat-trick as Boland knocked over Jomel Warrican for a golden duck.

“We were just saying how it was just celebrating like a normal wicket, but it was a hat-trick. I mean, it was just awesome. Scotty just seems to get on a heater every now and then. We all love Scotty, so pumped for him.”

Australia completed their one-sided victory in the series, claiming the series 3-0 after losing the World Test Championship final at Lord's to South Africa last month.
