Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are in top form this IPL 2025 season. On Sunday, April 27, they scored another important win, beating Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. With this victory, they climbed to the top of the points table.

Delhi Capitals set a target of 163 runs, and RCB chased it down smoothly. Virat Kohli once again played a key role, scoring 51 runs and building a strong 119-run partnership with Krunal Pandya, who remained unbeaten at 76. Thanks to their efforts, RCB won by six wickets in just 18.3 overs.

RCB’s Dressing Room In Splits After Jitesh Sharma’s Comment On Patidar

After the match, RCB shared a video of their head coach Andy Flower praising the team. He especially applauded the bowlers for restricting DC to just 162/8.

Coach Flower then called wicketkeeper-batter Jitesh Sharma to share his thoughts on the batting. Jitesh praised debutant Jacob Bethell for his brief but impressive knock, where he smashed a six off Mitchell Starc. He also appreciated Tim David for his quick-fire 19 runs.

However, when it came to captain Rajat Patidar, Jitesh’s comments made the whole RCB dressing room burst into laughter. Patidar scored only 6 runs from 6 balls before a confusion with Kohli got him run out early, leaving RCB struggling at 26/3.

“Rajat, nothing," Jitesh quipped drawing laughter from his RCB teammates.

Later, Patidar teased his teammate for disregarding his contribution. “Nothing bol raha hai (He said nothing)," he said.

And Jitesh was quick to hit back. “Batting mein kya ukhada isne? (What did he do with the bat?)," he said.

But Patidar took it in a sporting way, simply saying, “Chal theek hai, match jeet gaye na!” (It’s fine, we won the game!).

RCB Look Strong To Qualify For IPL Playoffs

RCB now looks strong to qualify for the IPL 2025 playoffs. They have been winning mostly away from home, clinching 5 out of their 6 victories on the road. With two more away matches and three home games left, they are well on their way to securing a spot in the playoffs, and maybe even a top-two finish if they continue their good form at Chinnaswamy Stadium.
