Sanjana Ganesan, who is a well-known sports broadcaster and the wife of cricketer Jasprit Bumrah, recently called out people on social media for making fun of their little son Angad. It happened after Angad’s short appearance at the Wankhede Stadium during the IPL match between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Sunday.
Sanjana posted a strong message on Instagram, telling people that her son is not here for their jokes or entertainment. She requested everyone to be careful about what they say about Angad and to keep their opinions to themselves.
Sanjana and her son Angad were at the stadium to support Jasprit Bumrah, who had a fantastic game, taking four wickets and leading MI to a big win over LSG. While fans celebrated Bumrah’s brilliant performance, the cameras also caught a glimpse of little Angad, who instantly became a topic of discussion online.

Some people even made unnecessary and harsh comments about the child, which upset Sanjana.
She posted on Instagram, saying,
"Our son is NOT a topic for your entertainment. Jasprit and I do everything in our power to keep Angad away from social media because the internet is a despicable, vile place to be and I completely understand the implications of bringing a child to a cricket stadium filled with cameras, but please understand that Angad and I were there to support Jasprit and nothing else."
She added,
“Throwing around words like trauma and depression in reference to a baby says so much about who we're becoming as a community and it's honestly really sad. You know nothing about our son, nothing about our lives and I request you to keep your opinions online true to that.”
Jasprit Bumrah and Sanjana Ganesan got married in 2021 and celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary in March 2025. Their son Angad was born in September 2023.
The mother and son are often seen cheering for Bumrah at matches. They also celebrated India’s T20 World Cup 2024 win together, and the pictures were loved by fans. However, showing Angad publicly has also brought unwanted attention and trolling online.
