Bangladesh will tour India for a bilateral series, beginning with a two-game Test series. Ahead of the first Test in Chennai, experienced opener Litton Das sounded off alarm on facing SG ball, citing the challenge to handle the reverse swing of the unique balls manufactured in India.

After beating Pakistan 2-0 in a historic two-game Test series, Bangladesh will have another mountain to climb. Shanto and his troops will travel to India for a two-game Test series followed by a three-game T20I series.

The first Test of the tour will begin at Chepauk Stadium in Chennai, and Bangladeshi opener Litton Das is already wary of the steep challenges his team will face against a quality opponent.

Litton Das gears up for reverse swing challenge for India series!

Litton Das, who played an inspiring knock of 138 against Pakistan after his team was down to 26/6, revealed that batting against India will be tough as the SG ball challenge is a different ball game.

Notably, Bangladesh played with Kookaburra balls in Pakistan. However, India uses SG balls in the Test format whose stitches are thick, and it generates significant reverse swing once the ball gets old.

"The ball will be a different one in India. It is a little harder to play against the SG ball. The Kookaburra ball is easier to play when it gets old. It is the opposite with the SG ball. It is harder to get away against the old ball when it's the SG," Das said  on ESPN Cricinfo.

That is something that concerns Litton Das. He explained that playing with older Kookaburra balls is easier than SG balls because getting away with old SG balls is difficult.

Litton Das, who scored 216 runs in two Tests against Pakistan, will lead Bangladesh's batting order alongside Najmul Hossain Shanto, Mominul Haque, Mushfiqur Rahim, and Shakib Al Hasan against India.

Litton Das wants to move on from Pakistan triumph

Meanwhile, Litton Das urged the media to avoid asking questions about the historic series victory against Pakistan. He believes the series was monumental in Bangladesh's cricket history.

"We played good cricket against Pakistan but it is already in the past. It is important for us to look forward. We will need your (media's) help. It would be helpful if you don't talk about the Pakistan series. As a player, it is already in the past for me," he added.

However, the moment has passed and he now wants to move on to different challenges and aim for greater achievements. Defeating Pakistan was just a stepping stone for Bangladesh who are hungry to scale new milestones going forward.
