Star opener Yashasvi Jaiswal and legendary all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja grinded out at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru to prepare themselves for the upcoming two-match Test series against West Indies. While the likes of Shubman Gill, Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel recently played the 2025 Asia Cup in the UAE, the rest of the Test stars have been deprived of red-ball action, at least since the conclusion of the 2025 Duleep Trophy season last month.

As Team India gears up to resume their 2025-27 WTC campaign with a series against West Indies, both Jaiswal and Jadeja fine-tuned themselves with a rigorous training session, as evidenced by a near three-minute-long video shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

Both Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ravindra Jadeja played key roles in Team India securing a 2-2 draw against England away from home a couple of months ago. However, with little-to-no red-ball action for the two (only one Duleep Trophy outing for Jaiswal), the two players have been grinding out at BCCI’s CoE in Bengaluru for quite some time.

In a video shared by the BCCI on Wednesday, October 1; i.e., just a day prior to the series-opener against the West Indies, both Jaiswal and Jadeja thanked the Indian board for providing them a world-class facility to train themselves.

Praising the facility, Ravindra Jadeja said:

“Everything an international player requires for training, the CoE has it.”

Yashasvi Jaiswal echoed the sentiment, stating:

“All the facilities here are absolutely amazing. I love being here, enjoying all the facilities. Thanks to BCCI for creating such a structure that we can come in and have amazing practice.”

It is worth noting that Ravindra Jadeja will start out as Shubman Gill’s deputy in the two-match Test series against West Indies. In his previous Test venture, the legendary all-rounder scored five fifties and a century across 10 innings in England; all while harvesting seven wickets with the ball.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, on the other hand, listed 411 runs in 10 innings at an average of 41.10 with two tons and two half-centuries.
