India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah has reportedly confined his availability for the upcoming home Test series against the West Indies. The star fast bowler has told the BCCI that he is fully available for the 2 Tests to be played in Ahmedabad and New Delhi, starting October 2.

Bumrah is currently in the UAE playing in the Asia Cup 2025. If India qualifies for the final, there will be only a 3-day gap before the first Test begins in Ahmedabad.

Jasprit Bumrah in, Rishabh Pant out of the West Indies series

Regardless, the Indian Express reports that Jasprit Bumrah will be seen in action during the home Test series against the West Indies. The selection committee, led by Ajit Agarkar, is meeting on Wednesday to pick the 15-member squad.

Not many changes are expected from the side that recently drew the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy in England. However, with wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant ruled out due to a foot fracture, Dhruv Jurel will remain the first-choice wicketkeeper, while N Jagadeesan will likely be the backup.

Additionally, a new name could be added to the squad in the form of young left-arm spinner Manav Suthar. The 23-year-old from Rajasthan has been in fine form, taking a 5-wicket haul in the India A vs Australia A game.

Selectors are reportedly impressed and are keen to groom him for the future. Suthar has already picked up 95 wickets in 23 first-class matches and is being seen as one to watch.

Ravindra Jadeja reports at the BCCI CoE to prove fitness

Meanwhile, the publication also reports that veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has reported to the Centre of Excellence (COE) in Bengaluru to undergo his fitness test.

After a short break post the England tour, Jadeja is all set to return against the West Indies. Along with Jadeja, Washington Sundar and Axar Patel are likely to be other all-round options.
