After the 2011-12 South Africa tour, India have managed to draw the series a second time and Rohit Sharma has become only the second captain to do that after MS Dhoni. During the Test series, the fans witnessed a truckload of expressions from Virat Kohli, which were further developed into some hilarious memes.

Virat Kohli is always the one to watch on the field, whether it's his celebrations or cheeky expressions that keep the fans entertained while he is on the field. His every move on the field gets the attention of his fans and is converted into a relatable meme by the netizens. While the bowlers were enjoying bowling in the second Test, Kohli was dropping hilarious expressions while doing slip fielding. OneCricket presents the top memes that have been making people laugh even days after the recently concluded series.

Let's have a look at the top 5 memes related to Virat Kohli during the South Africa tour.

Kohli when 'Ram Siya Ram' was played on the ground

Every time Keshav Maharaj came out to bat, the 'Ram Siya Ram' song was played on the ground. Whether it was the white-ball series or the Test series, it seems like Keshav Maharaj has a copyright on this particular song which is dedicated to the Hindu god 'Shree Ram'.

In the second Test, when the Indian fielders were enjoying the fall of wickets and Keshav Maharaj came out to bat, again the same song was played and Virat Kohli who was there at the first slip, came behind the wickets and joined his hands. He even imitated pointing an arrow, the way the Hindu God used to do. The fans related the same incident with the inauguration of a Temple of Ram in Ayodhya for which Virat Kohli has been invited to attend the ceremony, which will be taking place on the 22nd of January.

When no one could stand alongside Kohli in the first Test

In the second innings of the first Test, Virat Kohli held one end alone as the wickets were falling consistently from the other end. The Indian team were miserable with the bat in the second innings and the South African bowlers were making the most out of the seaming conditions. Kohli went on to score 76 runs off just 82 deliveries and India bundled out on just 131, losing the game by an innings.

The meme was created using his picture, as he was in disbelief of what happened to the Indian batters. Most of the batters threw away their wickets, so someone created a meme putting a quote along with Virat's picture saying, that what will happen to the Indian team when he leaves the team, as only he is the one who sticks when things get tough.

When Kohli advised Siraj what length to bowl

In the first innings of the second Test, Mohammed Siraj displayed some amazing bowling skills and picked up six wickets. When Marco Jansen came out to bat, Kohli advised Siraj to drag Marco on the front foot, which would get him the wicket, as the batter might knick the ball.

And that's what happened, as Siraj got Jansen to knick the ball, eventually getting him out. The meme was made regarding Kohli advising Siraj, which said that Kohli might have left the captaincy but still knows how to lead and give useful advice on the field.

A meme related to the Nandre Burger incident

Nandre Burger, who made his debut in the recently concluded Test series, gave a death stare to Virat Kohli, who just came out to bat. Kohli, who has been playing for around 15 years, did not even react to what Burger did.

The creator related the incident with what happened to Kesrick Williams of West Indies, who once did a notebook celebration after dismissing Kohli and we all are aware of how Kohli almost finished his international career. The creator also placed a picture of Williams, who is giving a warning to Burger and making him aware of the consequences.

A meme related to the Indian batting collapse

While the other memes were funny, this one is a little deep and the creator must found Kohli was in during the first Test relatable. Everybody got out and Kohli was hoping at the other end for someone to stay and make a partnership with him, but unfortunately, no one was able to defend the fiery bowling from the Proteas.

The creator related the image and the situation with normal life like everybody leaves when one needs them and no one sticks, as Kohli also needed someone to help him make runs for the team.
