The Indian Premier League, which is one of the prominent T20 leagues in the world have been nothing short of opportunities for the domestic as well as the foreign players. The league admires the overseas fast bowlers and the Auctions for the IPL 2024 were the appropriate display of the same admiration towards the overseas seamers, as Spencer Johnson, Pat Cummins, and Mitchell Starc got truckloads of money.

Kagiso Rabada is another overseas seamer, who has been making waves in the IPL for a while now and is known to bowl 145 kmph consistently. In 69 IPL outings, the Protea fire, while playing for Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings, has bagged 106 wickets so far and has been troubling the batters since 2017. OneCricket remembers a few of his most fiery spells in his IPL career so far.

Let's have a look at the top 5 bowling performances of Kagiso Rabada in the Indian Premier League.

In the 20th match of the IPL 2019 season, Delhi Capitals had a thumping win over the hosts, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kagiso Rabada turned out to be the standout performer. While batting first, RCB could only post 149 runs against the likes of Ishant Sharma, Chris Morris and Kagiso Rabada.

Rabada, who was playing his 12th IPL game, stunned the RCB batters with his fiery spell and recorded his best IPL figures of 4/21, dismissing the likes of Virat Kohli and AB De Villiers. His spell full of wickets helped restrict RCB to just 149 and DC claimed the victory with four wickets in hand.

In the 30th game of the 2019 season, Sunrisers Hyderabad restricted Delhi Capitals to just 155 runs and the only way DC could win the game was by dismissing David Warner as early as possible. The pitch was favouring the bowlers and with the kind of bowling line-up DC had, they could win it comfortably and that's what happened.

Even though Warner went on to score a fifty, Kagiso Rabada dismissed him at a very crucial time, when the game was about to slip away from DC. The right-arm speedster went on to pick four wickets in total and helped his team bowl out the hosts for just 116 and claim the win.

4/24 vs Royal Challengers Bangalore, Dubai, 2020

In the year 2020, IPL was played in Dubai due to the rise of Covid cases in India. In the 19th game of the tournament, Delhi Capitals were facing Royal Challengers Bangalore and posted a huge score of 196 while batting first. With the bowling attack Delhi had, it was an easy walk to the win.

Kagiso Rabada went on to pick four wickets and this was his second four-wicket haul against the RCB team. This was also the second time when he picked up the wicket of Virat Kohli in the IPL. Rabada not only helped his team defend the total but made sure that DC won convincingly as they went on to win by 59 runs.

4/29 vs Sunrisers Hyderabad, Abu Dhabi, 2020

This was the time when Delhi Capitals qualified for the playoffs for the straight second time. In the qualifier 2, Delhi were playing against the 2016 IPL champions Sunrisers Hyderabad. While batting first, Delhi posted a total of 189 and they just needed to defend the score to make it to the finals.

Kagiso Rabada stepped up in the bowling department and took DC to the finals single-handedly, picking up 4 wickets. He dismissed Warner in his very first over and removed the dangerous-looking Abdul Samad at the back end, helping DC seal a close-fought victory by 17 runs.
