The T20 World Cup 2012 was held in Bangladesh and India could not even qualify for the knockout stage despite winning the inaugural T20 World Cup which happened in 2007. This was the first ICC T20 tournament, where Rohit Sharma opened the innings. The Indian team looked much stronger with his skills at the top.
