In the wake of his sacking by Italian Serie A club Roma around two hours ago, Jose Mourinho, one of the best football managers of all time, has been in the news. Check out this photo from when the famous personality met India's all-format captain Rohit Sharma, who posted the photo to Instagram as a fanboy back in 2018.
Rohit Sharma was in Russia’s Capital Moscow with his wife Ritika Sajdeh in 2018. At that point, Russia was hosting the Football World Cup, and Mourinho, the then Manchester United boss was there as well. Rohit, who is also the brand ambassador of Spain’s elite league La Liga, had the opportunity to meet Mourinho.
They clicked a picture together, and Rohit, to emphase what it meant to him, captioned, ‘With the man himself’ before using the hashtag of Jose Mourinho.

Rohit is currently in Bangalore, where India will play their third and final T20I of the series against Afghanistan. The Men in Blue are currently leading by 2-0, and a victory in Bangalore will help them complete a whitewash.
After the Afghanistan series, Rohit will continue to lead India in a five-match Test series, starting on January 25 in Hyderabad.
