Having sealed the series with a game to spare, India will take on Afghanistan for one last time on Wednesday (January 17) in the third and final T20I at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.
The Men in Blue produced two sumptuous performances against Afghanistan, both by six wickets. Shivam Dube was the star of the show in both outings, whereas Virat Kohli made a significant impact on his return in T20Is in Holkar.
As both sides prepare for the third and final encounter, let’s take a look at how T20Is in Bengaluru have fared over the years.
M Chinnaswamy Stadium Bengaluru Ground Stats
The first T20I in Bengaluru took place on December 25, 2012. Since then, as many as nine T20Is have taken place at this venue. You will be shocked to learn that, despite M. Chinnaswamy Stadium's reputation as a high-scoring venue, the average score when batting first is only 141 here.
Out of nine T20Is, four times the team won by the toss, whereas the toss-losing side won the same number of matches. Needless to say, one fixture ended with no result.
