The Johannesburg-born player made 122 runs against Pakistan in the second test at the same venue, Karachi, in January 2023. He faced 191 balls, hit 16 fours and a six to reach this milestone and had a strike-rate of over 63.87.

Opener Devon Conway led New Zealand’s early domination of Pakistan on Day 1 of the second Test with a knock of 122 before the hosts struck back in the final session to limit their opponents to 309/6 at stumps. Electing to bat first, the visitors started strongly as Conway stitched together partnerships of 134 and 100 with Tom Latham and Kane Williamson, respectively, in front of a modest crowd at the National Stadium. The match ended in a draw.

The left-handed Kiwis' opener Devon Conway was the hero on the pitch of Karachi, who scored a brilliant century. Conway hit 13 boundaries and six off 92 balls, his second hundred in one-day internationals. New Zealand scored a 79-run win on a wicket which provided plenty of turn and bounce for the spinners in Karachi, when it looked like they might squander a huge second-wicket partnership between century-maker Devon Conway and captain Kane Williamson batting first.

Conway’s 101 came from just 92 balls, featuring 13 fours and a six. He brought up his ton in the 29th over, hitting three reverse-sweep fours in the first four balls from leg-spinner Usama Mir, then scored two off the last to reach his century.

The third and final T20I between New Zealand and Pakistan came to a thrilling finish in Napier, with Men in Green registering a win by four wickets and thus avoiding a series clean-sweep.

Pakistan captain Shadab Khan won the toss and opted to bowl first. Both the teams had a decent start in the power play as the Kiwis hit 47 runs but also lost the wickets of Martin Guptill and Kane Williamson. Devon Conway, during his knock of 63 off 45 balls, smashed seven fours and a six. Phillips supported him well with his 31 runs with the help of four boundaries.
