The MS Dhoni-led side dropped Devon Conway and R Ashwin from the playing XI. Further, 20-year-old Shaik Rasheed has been added to the line-up and the youngster will be making his IPL debut.
Who Is Shaik Rasheed, CSK's 20-Year-Old Debutant?
Rasheed, who hails from Guntur, Andhra Pradesh started his professional cricketing journey from Dilsukhnagar in Hyderabad and played for Sportive Cricket Club in the HCA League. He rose to fame as he was named in India's U-19 squad for 2022 U-19 World Cup and also served as the team's vice-captain.
Further, it was a great season for Rasheed as he smashed 201 runs in four innings, despite missing most of the tournament because of COVID-19. Further, Rasheed slammed 94-runs in the semis and also a fifty in the finals, helping India lift the World Cup trophy.
