Apart from being on-field against each other, these two legends been the centre of various controversies during the heated encounters between India & England.

A year later, the Indian off-spinner levelled the score when he shared his displeasure at an English cricketer running out a batter at the non-striker's end in a U19 World Cup match against Scotland.

Five years after the shredding incident, both Ashwin and Anderson participated in a Test series in India. The former played his 100th Test match and surpassed the 500-wicket mark, whereas the latter became the first seamer to snap 700 wickets in the longest format of the game.

Over the years, both the cricketers and the members of opposite dugouts have engaged in countless against each other. Recently, Anderson and Shubman Gill were in a fierce verbal battle during the Dharamsala Test.

Nevertheless, India won the series 4-1, becoming the first team since 1912 to win a five-match Test bilateral after losing the first match.
