Pakistan's middle-order wicketkeeper batter, Azam Khan, for his poor international performances, has been in the news lately as the son of former great, Moin Khan has been struggling to find his footing in international cricket.

Azam Khan who made his T20 international debut in Nottingham in July 2021 is yet to complete his 100 runs in the format despite playing 13 innings.

With the highest score of 30*, he has only scored 88 runs for the national team yet. The string of low scores has invited a lot of criticism from the fans and media.

The father of this otherwise explosive batter, Moin Khan is considered a legend of Pakistan cricket which has brought some eyeballs to the case of the 25-year-old's selection in the team.

Father, Moin Khan has represented Pakistan in 69 Tests where he scored 2741 runs with 4 centuries to his name while grabbing 128 catches and 20 stumpings. In the shorter format, ODIs, he has played 219 matches for the men in green, scoring 3266 runs at a strike rate of 81.30 which was considered healthy at the time.

While prominently making his name in the PSL, Azam has made a reputation for his big hitting, scoring 2465 runs in 110 T20s, striking at over 146 which led him to earn his national team call-up.

Following his back-to-back ducks against England and Pakistan, Khan would want to redeem himself against the arch-nemesis, India in New York on June 9.
