Rahul Dravid and Sourav Ganguly, two good friends on and off the field, exchanged a funny banter in 2014 when India met England in Nottingham during their first Test of the series.

Both Dravid and Ganguly, who turned 52 on July 8, were in the commentary box, along with the ‘voice of cricket’ Harsha Bhogle. There, out of nowhere, the topic of debate emerged as ‘Sachin Tendulkar was a better bowler than Sourav Ganguly.’

Ganguly, in a fun way, opposed the statement, saying Tendulkar got more wickets only because there were turning tracks in India, and he was a spinner. Then, he gave a logic, bringing Rahul Dravid into it by saying skipper Dravid always trusted him whenever they toured England or any other country outside Asia.

Then, when things were beginning to turn as ‘ifs and buts’ Ganguly said, ‘I wish I could become the Prime Minister Of India.’ Even though the reactions from Dravid and Bhogle, who did not show much emotions on camera, were not wild, fans across the world thoroughly enjoyed how savagely Ganguly remarked the statement.

Notably, Dravid's head coach role ended with India winning the T20 World Cup a few days ago, while Ganguly's decision as BCCI President to bring in Rohit Sharma as India's all-format skipper was equally significant.
