The former Indian captain and legend, MS Dhoni, retired from international cricket back in August 2020 on August 15. Since then, he has only been appearing in the Indian Premier League, where he leads the Chennai Super Kings.
MS Dhoni recently led the CSK to their fifth IPL title in the 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League. In the post-match conference, he hinted that he will make a comeback in the IPL 2024 as a token of love for all his fans.
The 42-year-old continues to embody fitness, a significant reason why he not only plays but also leads the team. Currently, he is back in the gym, focusing on recovering from knee surgery, to make a successful return in the IPL 2024.
Many fans and the cricket community have always been intrigued about when MS Dhoni's final season will be. Just like in the past few seasons, there was much speculation, even during IPL 2023, suggesting it could be his last, but that turned out not to be the case.
Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma, the current Indian captain and former Mumbai Indians skipper, had once found himself answering a question about whether IPL 2023 would be MS Dhoni's last season. In response, Rohit came up with a witty and amusing remark.
“I don’t know if it’s his last time, I have been hearing this for the last 2-3 years.
MS Dhoni's fan following in India is massive, and whenever Chennai Super Kings grace the IPL, the stadium transforms into a sea of yellow. It's a given that in the upcoming IPL 2024 season, the crowd will be ecstatic, flooding the stadium with yellow jerseys yet again.
