A vital cog in India's white-ball scheme of things, middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer made a triumphant return to international after a injury layoff in the recently concluded three-ODI series against Australia.

Iyer, scored a terrific century in Indore and helped India win the series 2-1.

The Mumbai-born has been selected in India's 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, starting next month, and will most likely occupy the No.4 position. Now, in a video that has resurfaced on the internet lately, witnesses Iyer in a playful mood with a puppy.

The 28-year-old could be seen strolling, tickling the tummy and carrying the puppy him in his arms as well. Iyer's playfull moments with the cute puppy can be seen HERE.

The star batter is a well-known dog lover and owns a pet Labrador 'Betty'. During his time away from cricket, Iyer often shared videos of himself enjoying himself with Betty, who the player describes as "my pom pom".

Meanwhile, Iyer will be in action on Saturday, when India takes on England in their first warm-up at Guwahati, and then face the Netherlands at Thiruvananthapuram on October 3 in their final practice match.

Rohit Sharma and Co. will lock horns against five-time champions Australia in their first World Cup 2023 encounter on October 8 at Chepauk.
