The Radisson Blu chain of hotels made a blunder while sending check-in emails to the Indian team ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. The Indian cricket team is currently housed at Radisson Blu Guwahati for a warm-up game set for September 30th.
The team completed their check-in process at the luxurious hotel on Thursday, September 29 and as per a report of Money Control, Radisson Blu inadvertently sent a check-in email to a different Hardik Pandya, coincidentally the Senior Vice President of Design at Unacademy instead of the India all-rounder.
The Unacademy employee, who happens to share the name Hardik Pandya with the cricketer, took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a screenshot of the mistakenly sent email. Here’s what he wrote in his post:
“I have no plans to fly to Guwahati tomorrow. Turns out it's a room booked for @hardikpandya7 for the #ICCWorldCup warm-up match in Guwahati.”
Team India and England have both arrived in Guwahati ahead of their warm-up game scheduled for Saturday, September 30th. Hardik Pandya, who missed the entire three-match ODI series, is expected to rejoin the team for valuable practice sessions before the ICC World Cup 2023.
