On Wednesday evening, the Pakistan team arrived in India amidst much fanfare in Hyderabad for the soon-to-begin ICC Cricket World Cup 2023

One of the most vital players for Pakistan in the 10-nation tournament will be the form of pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi. Afridi is returning from an injury lay-off and will spearhead the bowling attack alongside Haris Rauf, Mohammad Wasim Jr.

The fast bowler hit his straps running on Thursday morning in Pakistan's optional training session, which Afridi shared glimpses of on social media platform 'X'.

In the video clip, the Lahore Qalandars (LQ) captain can be seen bowling to Babar Azam and other Pakistan top-order batters, apart from having conversations with the bowling coach Morne Morkel and fellow pacer Haris Rauf.

Upon arrival in India, in a social media post Afridi expressed delight over the warm welcome given to the Pakistan players by Indian fans on Wednesday evening.
