An unfortunate injury to all-rounder Axar Patel enabled Ravichandran Ashwin's entry into India's 15-man ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 squad last evening.
Ashwin's inclusion was greeted with hilarious memes and reactions on the net, where the off-spinner's Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Rajasthan Royals (RR) took the cake.

RR, known for their social media game, shared a clip from the South Indian movie 'Master' starring superstar Thalapathy Vijay and morphed the lead actor's face with Ashwin's, with the caption, 2023 World Cup: Enter Ash Anna! 🇮🇳
In the clip, Ashwin could be seen catching a bus as Indian skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli look on from the window.

In the original movie, Vijay, who plays the role of Master, is running behind the bus to catch hold of two run-away problematic students.
Interestingly, Ashwin made the song ' Vaathi Coming' from the same movie quite famous by making reels on it.
The 34-year-old recently played in the three-ODI series against Australia and displayed his class in the Indore encounter, taking three wickets and giving a near-perfect audition for the WC.
Patel, who was included in India's preliminary WC squad suffered a quadriceps injury during Asia Cup 2023 Super 4 match against Bangladesh.
Team India along with Ashwin arrived at Guwahati last evening, where they will face off against England in warm-up on Saturday.
The Rohit Sharma-led side will begin their World Cup 2023 campaign on October 8 against Australia at Chennai.
