Babar Azam, Pakistan's captain, made a style statement during their first warm-up game against New Zealand on Friday, September 29, by sporting one-of-a-kind sneakers featuring a yellow emoji.

The shoes were incredibly eye-catching, prompting the cameraman to put them on the big screen. As soon as it appeared on TV, pictures of his shoes went viral across social media.

Meanwhile, Babar Azam, playing his first match in India, had a fantastic beginning by notching up a brilliant 80 off 84 deliveries.

The stylish right-hander came to bat following the early departure of Imam-ul-Haq, who could only muster a single run from 10 deliveries and appeared to be struggling before Matt Henry dismissed him with a well-placed delivery on a good length.

Notably, this tour to India is the first for the Pakistan team in the past seven years, and most of the players on the squad are about to make their debut on Indian soil, with the exception of Mohammad Nawaz.

Following this, the Pakistan cricket team has another warm-up match scheduled against Australia on October 3, before they commence their World Cup journey against the Netherlands on October 6 at Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
