Considering their hype and aura around the country, prominent Indian political personality Rahul Gandhi was once asked to pick his choice between the modern-day cricketing legends. Gandhi, however, had an interesting response to the much-debated topic.

When Rahul Gandhi chose between Kohli and Sharma

Back in September 2023, i.e., mere days prior to the 2023 World Cup in India, Indian politician Rahul Gandhi was asked to choose his favorite between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. The senior politician had a rather interesting response to the question as he declined to pick either of the two personalities. Gandhi explained:

“Either one as I am not a huge cricket fan. I know that's not a good thing to say.”

The Indian MP, however, expressed his inclination towards football by naming Christiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in the subsequent set of rapid-fire questions.

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma continue to reign supreme as two of the most prominent cricketing personalities across the country. The two cricketers recently starred in India’s emphatic 3-0 T20I series win over Afghanistan.

Both Kohli and Sharma will next be seen in Indian colors through the upcoming five-match Test series against the visiting Englishmen.
