Rajasthan Royals (RR) pacer Sandeep Sharma shared his experience of bowling to MS Dhoni. Ahead of the 37th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, Sandeep talked about his personal outing in RR's previous match versus Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

As the bowler was handed a task of saving 20 runs against the likes of Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja, he passed the test with flying colours and won the game for the Royals.

"Obviously, to bowl at Mahi bhai (MS Dhoni) in death overs in that ground (Chennai) has always been tough. In that match also, it was challenging to bowl at Mahi bhai as there was plenty of support backing him. But I have enjoyed bowling in Chennai and it was a brilliant night for me with the ball. One thing with the Chennai crowd is that they always appreciate the players doing well whether you are playing for CSK or for any other team. So hopefully, I do well in this game and contribute to the team's victory," Sandeep said.

While the 29-year-old has developed an expertise bowling with the new ball, he now is being used by RR in the death overs as well. He opined on that by saying:

"Yes, it has been interesting for me this season. There is no particular role for me. I have said it in an interview earlier also that I can be handed the ball in any over and any situation. Happy with the new challenge and every second I am on my toes to get the ball in hand."

Rajasthan Royals are currently facing Chennai Super Kings at Sawai Mansingh Stadium.
