Arjun Tendulkar has impressed one-and-all in his debut IPL season for the Mumbai Indians. The youngster has played four matches for the franchise so far, and claimed three wickets in the process.

Just a few days after he earned admiration from legendary Australian quick Brett Lee, former India star Pragyan Ojha has also praised the 23-year-old for his performance.

Moreover, Ojha has now advised others to judge young Arjun as an individual, and not as a son of the legendary Sachin Tendulkar.

Pragyan Ojha quotes Zaheer Khan, praises Arjun’s work ethics

Pragyan Ojha has played alongside Sachin Tendulkar in international cricket as well as in IPL for the Mumbai Indians.

He recently praised 23-year-old Arjun for his work ethics and also revealed what Zaheer Khan personally told to him about the youngster. During an interaction on Jio Cinema, Ojha said:

"I was talking to Zaheer Khan the other day, he told me that Arjun (Tendulkar) is someone you have to drag out of the nets, that’s the dedication he has. We have to judge him as an individual, not as a legend’s son. He has to improve, obviously."

Tendulkar delivered a match-winning final over in just his second IPL game, while playing against the SRH in Hyderabad. Later in the season, he conceded just nine runs off his two overs in a game where Gujarat Titans piled up over 200 batting first.

Ojha added that the youngster already has the temperament and skills to achieve much success in the future.

“He was trying to get the ball to swing into the batter, he was able to do that. He was trying to bowl the yorkers, and he was able to do that too. He’s got the temperament, the skill, and he wants to work hard.”

Arjun will now turn up for the Mumbai Indians in their subsequent fixture, i.e., a home game against Rajasthan Royals on April 30.
