In an outstanding middle-overs spell, Royal Challengers Bangalore's (RCB) Vijaykumar Vyshak has brought his side back in the game after it suffered a Jason Roy (56) rampage in the powerplay.

While Roy took Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to 66-0 at the end of the first six overs, the next three yielded just 16 runs as RCB inched towards a comeback.

Vyshak, who conceded just seven runs in his first over, gave KKR a double whammy as they lost both their openers in his second.

After a slower bouncer helped Vyshak draw the first blood for RCB in the form of Narayan Jagadeesan (27), who was caught at deep mid-wicket, the pacer struck again as Roy was done away with a yorker.

However, despite Vyshak's double strike, it came as a surprise that RCB could not take even a single wicket in the powerplay which they had done till today in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season.

At the time of writing, RCB's score reads 131/2 in 15 overs. Venkatesh Iyer and Nitish Rana are batting unbeaten at 23 and 20 runs respectively.
