Chennai Super Kings (CSK) take on Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the 37th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 on April 27 at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur.

The two teams had earlier met in a closely-fought affair this season that ended in Rajasthan Royals' favour. MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja laid out a finishing assault but RR's Sandeep Sharma came clutch as he stopped the duo from scoring 20 runs in the final over of the match.

CSK would now aim to avenge the loss, while RR would try to break their losing streak and better their recent record against the former.


Expected Changes 

Chennai Super Kings 

Riding on a high of three consecutive wins, CSK could possibly not be thinking to tinker with their combination. However, Maheesh Theekshana is supposedly injured and we might see Mitchell Santner take the field in his place.


Also, Ben Stokes was said to be fit by today's match. But he can only come in if Moeen Ali is excluded. That is unlikely to happen because Moeen could be more effective with the ball at Sawai Mansingh Stadium.


Rajasthan Royals

Though RR have been jolted with two back-to-back defeats, they are unlikely to change their playing XI.

The only bone of contention is the fourth overseas spot for which Jason Holder and Adam Zampa are fighting it out. RR may stick with Holder but the idea of including Zampa in Jaipur is worth a thought.


Weather Report 

The temperature will hover around 25-29 degrees in Jaipur during the match. There are slight chances of rain in the evening.

CSK and RR have squared off 27 times in the IPL. CSK have won 15 matches, while RR have managed to get the better of them on 12 occasions.
