This inning in 2012 against Sri Lanka was the celebrated beginning of Indian batting star Virat Kohli’s magnificent cricketing career. The Delhi lad smashed an unbeaten 133 off just 86 balls to help India cross the line in just 36.4 overs, with the highlight of the innings being the 35th over bowled by the Malinga in the CB Tri-Series, in Hobart.

It was indeed a remarkable display of skill and temperament by Virat Kohli, who was still in the early stages of his career at that time. A chase under pressure and pulled off almost single-handedly, was something that left the entire world awestruck. The former India captain scored his 9th ODI century, and took the world by storm.

Virat Kohli displayed a Hobart special against Lasith Malinga & Co. to dismantle the possible outcome of the game. Even Lasith Malinga, one of the greatest exponents of death bowling, looked pale in front of Kohli's onslaught.

The highlight of the inning was the 35th over against Lasith Malinga, who was at the peak of his career at that time. The Sri Lankan bowler got punished by young Virat Kohli severely as he scored 24 runs from that over. The right-handed batter smacked the speedster for six and four boundaries off successive deliveries in the 35th over.
