New Zealand pacer Lockie Ferguson expects England to come hard at them when both sides clash in Tuesday's blockbuster fixture of T20 World Cup 2022.

Ahead of the mouth-watering clash, Ferguson lauded the batting depth of the English team, which goes down until number nine Chris Woakes

However, the 31-year-old hoped that Tim Southee and Trent Boult would keep using the new ball well, like they did in earlier games.

Here is what Ferguson said

"What you always expect from England is that they come out very hot. They pride themselves probably on that aggressive nature and bat very deep,

"Tim and Trent have had a blinder in these first two games. When the ball’s swinging, there’s not much better in the world. So I think from that point of view, nothing needs to change too much, and we just need to adjust to the conditions on the day."

Currently, the table toppers in Group 1, New Zealand, have tasted victories on two occasions, while one ended as a washout. However, with five points already on their kitty, they need another win to confirm their place in the semi-finals.

England, on the other hand, have been average with their performances. The first game witnessed them winning against Afghanistan while sustaining a defeat against Ireland in the subsequent fixture.

With the clash against Australia ending as a no-result, they have three points in as many games. However, the Jos Buttler-led side needs to win their remaining games to seal the top four spots of the showpiece event.
