West Indies hard-hitting all-rounder Rahkeem Cornwall created history on Thursday when he slammed a double century in T20 cricket while playing in the ongoing Atlanta Open League 2022. Representing Atlanta Fire, Cornwall recorded a T20 double ton, surpassing fellow countryman Chris Gayle's top score of 175*.

The 29-year-old made 205 from 77 balls, including 22 sixes and 17 fours against Square Drive. Cornwall leads the charts for highest individual runs ahead of Gayle, Australia's Aaron Finch (172), Zimbabwe's Hamilton Masakadza (162*), Afghanistan's Hazratullah Zazai (162*), and England's Adam Lyth (161).

The Antigua-born is coming off a successful Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2022 playing for the Barbados Royals franchise, where he smashed 242 runs in nine games and picked up seven wickets.

Interestingly, the Royals' franchise is run by the Indian Premier League (IPL) team Rajasthan Royals' owners.

Overall, Cornwall has played 9 Tests, 76 First-Class, 50 List-A,  and 66 T20s since 2011.
