The International Cricket Council (ICC) unveiled players eying the award Women's Player of the Month for September, which includes Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, India's opener Smriti Mandhana and Bangladesh's captain Nigar Sultana.

Harmanpreet Kaur

Kaur smashed a blistering 100 against England in the 2nd ODI, following up from an unbeaten 74* in the first. She ended the series with 221 runs while leading from the front as captain to win the trophy 3-0 as well.

However, she has a poor T20I series coming into the ODIs.

Smriti Mandhana

Mandhana was India's most consistent player on the England tour, scoring 111 ODI runs and 181 T20Is, respectively. The left-handed batter missed her sixth 50-overs ton by nine runs in the first ODI.

In India's only T20I win, she smashed a quick-fire 79 runs, which blew the home side in the second match.

Nigar Sultana

Leading from the front, Sultana helped Bangladesh Women finish as champions of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifiers 2022. She scored two fifties for her side in round one, including a 40-ball 56 against the USA.

She finished the tournament as the second-highest run-scorer with 180 runs from five matches.
