'It's not why I play the game'- Alex Hales on his resurgence

On Thursday, England crushed India by ten wickets in the second semifinal to enter the final of the ongoing T20 World Cup in Australia. Alex Hales emerged as the wrecker-in-chief for England, smashing a fabulous 47-ball 86* and helping them get over the line with four overs to spare. 

Notably, Hales made a remarkable comeback to the national side following a string of impressive outings in the T20 leagues across the world. On being asked if he aims at executing a redemption, Hales stressed that he is focusing only on giving his all on the field while expressing his happiness to represent England in T20Is at his peak. 

As the swashbuckling opener put it, his only goal right now is helping England lift the title, which he aims to fulfil on Sunday. 

Here's what Hales stated

"To get the chance to play for England again in a time where I feel like I'm playing the best T20 cricket of my career is a great feeling. I'm keen to make the most of this chance, for sure. I don't think it is about redemption, no. That's not what's on my mind, to be honest, I'm just enjoying my cricket and enjoying being back in an England shirt,

“I just want to enjoy myself and play at the highest level and it would be the icing on the cake to leave with a medal. I'm just playing with a smile on my face in an England shirt again, it is a very special feeling.”
