The final of the T20 World Cup 2022 faces a rain threat with predictions of 95 percent chances of showers in Melbourne on Sunday.

Cricket fans from Pakistan and England have been eagerly waiting for the finals, but the game could either be shifted to the reserve day or their is a likelihood of the trophy being shared by both the teams.

The tournament has witnessed numerous matches being washed out due to rain and now the final faces the same threat.

"Cloudy, very chances of showers. The chance of thunderstorm, possibly severe. Light winds becoming north to northeasterly 15 to 25 km/h during the morning then tending north to northwesterly during the day," the Bureau of Meteorology predicted on Friday.

The weather for the reserve day (Monday) isn't good either, with the possibility of 95 percent rain on that day.

Both England and Pakistan have played some great cricket heading into the final and neither of the two sides would want to share the trophy.
