The Delhi Capitals have started their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 campaign on the wrong off, having lost all four matches thus far, while two matches were forgetful, the remaining two matches, which include their last home against Mumbai Indians, went down to the wire.

Mumbai Indians chased down 173 runs on the last ball of the match, which could have gone Delhi's way if not for fielding lapses. Former Indian bowler Harbhajan Singh, however, has slammed DC skipper David Warner for his knock against MI.

Warner scored his third fifty of the season, which has come under fire due to its slow nature - the explosive batter took 43 balls to reach the landmark.

As quoted by India Today, Singh questioned such runs by Warner, which did not help the team win.

"What's the point of scoring such runs. He needs to score fast. It's like he is playing against his own team."

Former Delhi Daredevils player and Warner's teammate Virender Sehwag lashed out at the Australian player for committing a fielding error in the last over. Needing 2 off 1, Warner stood outside the 30-yard circle, which enabled Tim David to run back for the second run and win the match for Mumbai Indians.

"With two needed of the last ball, he should have been standing close. He was standing at the rope. He is scoring runs but these small factors should have been kept in mind,"

Delhi will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore on Saturday in their third away game.
