Ever-since Elon Musk took over as the supreme boss of the micro-blogging site Twitter, he has made some bizarre changes on the social media platform. It has been come to light that Indian stars like Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma have all lost their Blue Ticks adjacent to their profiles on Twitter.

Musk stated that the only way to get a Blue Tick is through a subscription of Twitter Blue. But judging by the things, it seems the trio of Kohli, MS Dhoni and Rohit haven't done so.

A few weeks ago, Twitter stated that it will start removing the Blue Tick from the profiles as it wants the people to pay for the verification tick.


What is Twitter Blue?

In simpler terms, Twitter Blue is a paid service started by Elon Musk. Not only it offers a verification Tick on the respective profiles, but it also comes up with other benefits as well. Before the Twitter Blue was introduced, the Blue Tick was given to famous personalities in their designated field - be it sports, entertainment, politicians, journalists and many more.

However, now the same Blue Tick can be earned by whosoever pays the designated subscription fee.

The subscriber will also get benefits like edit tweet, bookmark folder, NFT profile pictures. Moreover, the Twitter Blue subscriber will get longer character limited of 4,000, while the character limit for other users is 280.
