Another shocker in the Indian Premier League (IPL) is around the corner after some high-profile injuries hampered the league even before it has seen daylight.

If reports are to be believed, Rajasthan Royals' effective pacer Obed McCoy has been ruled out of the IPL following his knee injury which caused him to miss the ongoing West Indies' series against South Africa.

Rajasthan, in this case, are looking out at potential options to replace him which could be from the likes of Dasun Shanaka, Wayne Parnell and Rassie van der Dussen with the former getting the precedence in the case of left-armer missing out on the entire season.

There could also be a chance that he might partially miss the season if he recovers on time around April mid or early May.

McCoy was a crucial figure for the Royals in their journey to the finals during the previous edition where he managed to bag 11 wickets in 7 games where his average was below 22.

Previously, Prasidh Krishna was also sidelined from the tournament after he suffered a stress fracture to his back and which led to him opting for surgery and later, caused him to miss a substantial amount of cricket.

The absence of the Caribbean pacer will be a huge hole for the Jaipur-based side and they would be hoping that he recovers on time.
