The second match of the WPL 2023 will see Royal Challengers Bangalore-Women (RCB-W) take on the Delhi Capitals-Women (DC-W). The match will be taking place on 5th March, Sunday at the Brabourne Stadium. The game is scheduled to start from 3:30 PM IST. 

This will be the first match for both RCB and DC in this tournament. The Indian star opener Smriti Mandhana will be leading the Bangalore side, while the skipper with the most ICC titles, Meg Lanning will be in charge of the Delhi team.

Both the teams chalked out their strategies during the auction ahead of the tournament. The RCB team looks pretty complete with the all-rounders like Ellyse Perry, Sophie Devine, Erin Burns, and Dane van Nierkerk in their ranks. Batters Smriti Mandhana, Sophie Devine, and Heather Knight provide more solidity to the squad. They also have world class pacers like Megan Schutt and Renuka Singh Thakur to boast off. 

On the other hand, the biggest strength for the Delhi Capitals will be their Meg Lanning. She is an experienced campaigner and knows how to lead a team to a title. The presence of Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Shikha Pandey, Radha Yadav and Poonam Yadav makes the Indian core pretty strong. The team also has an amalgamation of world class all-rounders in Marizanne Kapp, and Jess Jonassen. 

The two teams look pretty strong on paper and it will be an exciting battle when they take the field against each other.
