A total of four teams locked horns in two enthralling T20 contests on Thursday, January 19th in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Let's take a quick review of the action transpired.

Match 17th: Comilla Victorians vs Dhaka Dominators

Result: Comilla Victorians won by 33 runs

Comilla Victorians registered their third win in a row as they defeated Dhaka Dominators convincingly in Match 17.

After being asked to bat first, the Victorians posted a formidable 184 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs. The defending champions lost Litton Das early and were kept quiet in major parts of the innings.

Mohammad Rizwan kept the scoreboard ticking but the real show began once Khushdil Shah arrived in the middle. The Pakistani all-rounder completely turned the game on his head as he scored a 18-ball half century, fastest of the season and took Victorians’ total to 184.

In reply, Dhaka Dominators as usual had a horrible start with the bat and were two down with just 34 on the board at the end of the powerplay.

Both the openers, Soumya Sarkar and Robin Das were dismissed for ducks. Skipper Nassir Hossain was the only batter, who stepped up and kept the Dominators alive in the chase. However, despite his magnificent half century, the right-hander could not take his side home across the line.
