PAK vs ENG | Even Naseem can score an 80 on such a pitch: Shahid Afridi mocks Rawalpindi's pitch

The playing conditions of the first Test match between England and Pakistan have been getting trolled. In the first three days, the batters have been enjoying the fullest in the ongoing match. Already seven batters have scored hundreds as it is raining tons in Rawalpindi.

Various netizens and former cricketers have been mocking Pindi's playing conditions, calling it "one of the flattest pitches".

Following Day 2's play, former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi let the public know his opinion.

“You don't enjoy such matches. At one stage, my heart wasn't willing to watch the match. It became utterly boring at one moment, there was nothing for the bowlers. Hope there's a result because I don't think England can bowl Pakistan out twice,” Afridi said on Samaa TV.

While talking about the conditions, Afridi jokingly said here Naseem Shah, who usually bats at Number 10 or 11, can play an 80-run knock.

"If we have to play in the WTC final, beat big teams, we have to give bowlers confidence. We just can't live in fear that our batters will get out early. We have to get our batters to play on seaming pitches. On such pitches (like Rawalpindi), even Naseem Shah can score 70-80 runs."

Pakistan Cricket Board's Chairman Ramiz Raja has also criticised it by saying "it's embarrassing" to watch such a match. Notably, Rawalpindi was rated below average during the Test match played against Australia earlier this year.
