T20 World Cup 2022: Fakhar Zaman replaces Usman Qadir in Pakistan squad

Fakhar Zaman who was once dropped from the Pakistan squad for the T20 World Cup 2022 following a knee injury has now been named as a replacement and will be slithering his way back into the 15 member squad. 

Leg spinner Usman Qadir has now been moved to the reserves. The left-hand batter was among the travelling reserves for the World Cup has now been moved into the 15 member squad as Qadir was pushed back to Zaman's place. 



Qadir, the leg-spinner suffered a hairline fracture to his right thumb preceeding the T20 World Cup. He is yet to recover from the injury, this led to PCB's decision to swap the two players. Qadir will not be available for selection before the 22nd of October. 

Zaman is all set to travel to England alongside star pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi who has now recovered from a knee injury.
