Pakistan skipper Babar Azam's hunger for runs sees no end. During his knock of 55 against Bangladesh in Match 6 of the T20I tri-nation series, Azam breached the 11,000-run mark in international cricket.

Azam reached this tally in 251 innings, surpassing former India captain Virat Kohli's record, who reached this milestone in 261 innings. Former Indian legend Sunny Gavaskar achieved this in 262 innings, while his Pakistani counterpart Javed Miandad did so in 266 innings.

The 27-year-old Azam also became the 11th Pakistan player to reach 11,000 international runs after Javed Miandad, Saleem Malik, Saeed Anwar, Inzamam-ul-Haq, Younis Khan, Mohammad Yousuf, Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Hafeez, Shahid Afridi, and Misbah-ul-Haq.

With 11,002 runs so far, Azam is 131 runs away from entering Pakistan's top 10 run-getters list.

Overall, Azam has played 42 Tests, 92 ODIs, and 91 T20Is, having scored 3,122, 4,664, and 3,216 runs respectively.

After today's innings, Azam also completed 1,000 T20I runs in SENA countries, with 10 half-centuries and one hundred.  In 91 T20I appearances, he has registered two hundred and 29 fifty-plus scores.

Until last month, Azam was ranked Number Uno in the ICC Rankings for T20I batsmen, only to be overtaken by Rizwan.
