After a dominant show in Tests, India A clean swept New Zealand A in a three-match ODI series where they won by 106 runs in the final game. All the matches took place at MA Chidambaram stadium in Chennai, where the hosts, on the back of exceptional performances from skipper Sanju Samson and Kuldeep Yadav, ran over the Kiwi line-up.

The first game proved to be a one-sided affair, with India first bowling out New Zealand for 167 and then completing the chase in just 32 overs to take the lead. Shardul Thakur claimed four wickets, with Kuldeep Sen accounting for three. During the chase, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Rajat Patidar scored 40 plus runs to take their side home.

In the next game, the Black Caps showed a little more fight with a score of 219, but even then, the Indian side was too good to finish the match, this time in the 34th over. Again, Kuldeep Yadav's hattrick stole the limelight from Prithvi Shaw's blistering 77 helping their team gain an unassailable lead.

The dead-rubber in the final game was where India posted 284 on the board before rolling over their counterparts for just 178. Winning the match by 106 runs and taking the series 3-0. Sanju Samson, Tilak Varma and Shardul Thakur all scored valuable fifties, with Raj Bawa returning outstanding figures of 4/11 in the second innings.

After missing out on India's World Cup squad, Samson became the lead scorer of this series with 120 runs from just three matches.
