After thrashing Pakistan in the first T20I match at the Gabba, the Australian team will focus on winning the series on Saturday as the two teams collide in the second game of the series at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).

Pakistan came into the T20Is after a thumping series win in the ODIs. However, they were brought down to Earth by a rampant Australian side in a rain-curtailed 7 overs per side match. Batting first, Australia posted 93 runs, with Glenn Maxwell leading the charge with a commanding 43 off 19 balls.

In reply, Pakistan were never really in the hunt as they lost 6 wickets inside 30 runs, with star players, Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam departing cheaply. The lower order provided a bit of resistance, but Pakistan were eventually restricted to 64/9.

Now, the caravan shifts towards the second game of the series, however, just like Brisbane, rain is predicted in Sydney as well.

Sydney Cricket Ground weather report for AUS Vs PAK

As per Accuweather, the temperature will be around 24 degrees celsius and there will be more clouds than sunshine today. There will be a breeze in the evening and a possible chance of rain as well.

There is a 60% chance of rain and just like the Gabba T20I, this one could also be a rain-shortened match between the two teams.

How will the weather affect the match?

With a lot of breeze going around and cloudy conditions, pacers will come into action a lot more. Generally SCG has a good surface where spinners enjoy a lot, however, with rainy conditions looming around, pace bowlers will get the initial movement at this venue.
